Hace dos años pausé mi vida para emprender un viaje hacia adentro, para limpiar, sanar, todo aquello que hasta entonces había guardado en mi interior. Una vez empezó el descenso ya no hubo forma de pararlo ni vuelta atrás, caí, hasta llegar al otro lado, atravesé la oscuridad hasta volver a la luz.

Mi forma de alquimizar cada herida fue el arte, buscando “la perla” a través del baile, el baile me llevaba a la pintura y después a la poesía hasta convertirse en 8 esculturas.

Devolviendo el dolor a la tierra, cicatrizando a través de la belleza.

Sentí la necesidad de convertir mis perlas en joyas para poder llevarlas como recordatorio de mis procesos, así, sin buscarlo, nació la colección.

Mi viaje tuvo 7 fases de descenso y un cierre. Al igual que en el mito de Inanna donde ella por voluntad propia se adentra en el inframundo atravesando siete portales hasta regresar a la tierra.

Hay 8 Talísmanes, cada uno trae la energía de un portal.

Two years ago I paused my life to embark on a journey inward, to cleanse, to heal, everything that until then I had kept inside me. Once the descent began, there was no way to stop it or turn back, I fell, until I reached the other side, I went through the darkness until I returned to the light.

My way to alchemize each wound was art, searching for “the pearl” through dance, the dance led me to painting and then to poetry until it became 8 sculptures.

Returning the pain to the earth, healing through beauty.

I felt the need to turn my pearls into jewelry so I could wear them as a reminder of my processes, thus, without looking for it, the collection was born.

My journey had 7 phases of descent and a closure. As in the myth of Inanna where she willingly enters the underworld through seven portals to return to earth.

There are 8 Talismans, each one brings the energy of a portal.

El entierro pareciera ser una muerte. Plantar la semilla en las oscuras entrañas de la tierra, habitar el vacío, el frió, el silencio, la incertidumbre.

¿Estaré muriendo? ¿Volveré a ver la luz? ¿Volverá a brotar en mi la vida?

Caí en un largo y profundo invierno.

Lo que parecía ser mi tumba fue mi cuna.

La rígida cáscara que me acorazaba separándome de la vida se resquebrajó, creí romperme mientras lo que estaba haciendo era brotar.

De lo más profundo de mi ser surgió algo esencial, auténtico y verdadero, creció con fuerza, atravesó la oscuridad para volver a salir a la luz, a una nueva vida.

El agave corona su muerte con su florecimiento, de su semillas nuevas vidas surgirán. La muerte no es más que el portal de una nueva vida, una vida que puede tener muchos renacimientos.

The burial seems to be a death. To plant the seed in the dark bowels of the earth, to inhabit the emptiness, the cold, the silence, the uncertainty.

Will I be dying, will I see the light again, will life sprout in me again?

I fell into a long and deep winter.

What seemed to be my grave was my cradle.

The rigid shell that armored me, separating me from life, cracked, I thought I was breaking while what I was doing was sprouting.

From the depths of my being, something essential, authentic and true emerged, it grew with strength, it went through the darkness to come out again to the light, to a new life.

The agave crowns its death with its blossoming, from its seeds new lives will emerge. Death is but the portal to a new life, a life that can have many rebirths.

En un viaje hacia adentro ¿Donde está el final? En un viaje hacia adentro se atraviesan muchas capas, como un viaje hacia el pasado hasta llegar a el útero materno donde la auto percepción desaparece para disolverse en un estado de pertenencia a la totalidad o hacia el futuro hasta abandonar el cuerpo de regreso a la fuente de donde vinimos.

En un viaje hacia adentro atravesé muchas capaz, lo que creía ser, lo que mi cuerpo atesoraba... Hasta llegar a ese abismo, a el confín de mi ser con el todo.

Como una gota que permaneció congelada 26 años hasta fundirse poco a poco y descender en un viaje hacia no se sabe donde, viajando rápidamente por un río, hacia abajo y llegar ahí, donde a un solo paso vuelve a ser mar y desparecer, dejar de ser gota, volver a la unión.

Me daba mucho miedo, creí volverme loca hasta que me rendí, solté mi cuerpo y me dejé caer y en esa caída un agujero negro me absorvió, atravesé un portal donde el descenso se convirtió en ascenso, donde la absorción se transformó en una flor que se abre. Regresé a la vida en grandes palabras, a la fuente, a mí misma.

On a journey inward, where is the end? In an inward journey one goes through many layers, like a journey into the past to the mother's womb where self-perception disappears to dissolve into a state of belonging to the whole or into the future to leave the body back to the source where we came from.

Mi tronco se ha estado años peleando con los pájaros, reclamándoles que bajen y lo habiten para poder vivir la vida humana.

Hice esta pieza honrrando a las criaturas aladas que me habitan, a la percepción que me han otorgado con sus viajes lejanos, a el placer de sentir que vuelven a casa.

Soy un árbol vivo, un árbol nido repleto de pájaros que juegan, vuelvan, bailan, se van y vuelven.

My trunk has been fighting for years with the birds, demanding them to come down and inhabit it in order to live human life.

I made this piece honoring the winged creatures that inhabit me, the perception they have given me with their distant travels, the pleasure of feeling them come home.

I am a living tree, a nest tree full of birds that play, return, dance, leave and come back.

Aceptar mi vulnerabilidad es permitir que la vida, la naturaleza me atraviese.

Ser nube, llover, fertilizar las tierras, purificar el aire.

Alumbrar el cielo con poderosos relámpagos que salen de las entrañas, acariciar las hojas con dulces lágrimas.

Mujer nube fue creada para acompañarme a liberar muchas lluvias contenidas.

Durante años mis ojos no llovían y el agua se contuvo en mi interior, congelándose en mi pecho, tornando mi cielo de un gris denso, impidiendo pasar a los rallos del sol.

Ella me recuerda que el cielo llora con toda su suavidad y potencia y yo aprendo a ablandarme, siendo canal de vida, lluvia balsámica, danzada por la luna.
